THE QUIET DISQUIET
The Masks we wear
In our mirrors, we stare
Infinite turns
And endless roundabouts
The uncanny of my mind
And its infinite doubts
This quiet disquiet space, where our mind often paces, is where this body of works rests. Contradictions are an inherent part of the human experience - more so in the world of today. The constant pull of the forest against the lust of the city, the multiple identities we carry, the past looming onto our tomorrow; sifting through these ephemeral thoughts emanates into a rather mysteriously melancholic state that is hard to describe even to our ourselves. This exhibition aims to recreate this unheimlich (uncanny) state of mind.
